About Eat Like Me

Hi everyone! Welcome to the Eat Like Me blog! I'm Emma- a Nutrition major & kind of a health nut! I'm really into eating healthy & nourishing my body. It amazes me how much food can really affect your life and change the way you feel. I've been into healthy eating since I was a teen and I wanted to share my interest with all of you! I'll admit that I have days when I do not make the best food choices but my goal is to just get back on track and stay healthy as often as I can. Of course, eating healthy doesn't mean I don't get to enjoy my food. There are lots of flavorful, healthy foods & recipes, and even desserts! On this blog I will share with you what I eat, along with recipes & pictures. You could use my blog as a guide to healthy eating, or just for recipes and ideas!

Seasoned Baked Chicken (dinner 10.11.10)

Dinner tonight was an easy oven meal. I had a baked chicken breast, a baked sweet potato with butter, and some steamed broccoli. To season the chicken, I sprayed it with natural cooking spray and then covered it with Mrs. Dash's Table Blend Seasoning just before putting it in the oven. It's a salt-free seasoning made from a blend of herbs and spices. I love it because it adds a lot of flavor without adding any salt or calories. For dessert I had a cookie that I bought at the store today. It was an Oatmeal Raisin Cookie
made by a company called Nutritious Creations. I had never tried it before, but it seemed pretty healthy. The first ingredient was rolled oats, followed by other good, recognizable ingredients. I only bought one to try, but now I wish I had bought more because it was actually pretty tasty and was pretty large also. It was however a little "airy" (not dense) and contained 170 calories. Although I probably would've preferred one of my dense 100 calorie vitamuffins, it was a nice switch up and did contain only 1 gram of fat.
